NOTICE of Power Outage, No Parking, Sidewalk Closed, and Road Closure on 4/25-4/26
The Town of Johnson will be relocating the public library building to the Legion field. This will result in disruptions in power, communications, and parking. The sidewalks and roads along the route will also be closed to ALL pedestrian traffic.
POWER OUTAGE:
The power will be disconnected on April 25th at 9:00 pm. Power will be turned on by 11:00 am on April 26th. A majority of customers will have only a few short interruptions of power. The longer interruption will affect the following: Main Street from the Rosemary Audibert Park to the Main Street bridge, Railroad Street and all side streets off from Railroad, School Street, Mudgett Drive, College Hill, Clay Hill, Pearl Street, Gould Hill and Plot Road.
NO PARKING:
There will be no parking on Railroad Street, Main Street (between Community National Bank and Rosemary Audibert Park), Pearl Street, and School Street. Parking will be available in the elementary school lot, the former Sterling Market parking lot, and the former Union Bank lot.
TOWING:
Cars will be towed at 8:00 pm on Friday, April 25th. Please move cars in advance.
SIDEWALK CLOSED:
The sidewalks on Railroad Street, Main Street (between Community National Bank and Rosemary Audibert Park), Pearl Street, and School Street will be closed to pedestrian traffic. Please plan accordingly as the work zone will be inaccessible and residents may not be able to leave for several hours by car or sidewalk.
ROAD CLOSURES:
Beginning at 9 pm on April 25th, Railroad Street, Pearl Street, and School Street will be closed. Main Street (between Community National Bank and Rosemary Audibert Park) will be closed from 3am-6am.
ACCOMODATIONS:
If you have a scheduled need to leave your residence along the closed route between the hours of 9 pm on April 25th, and 11:30 am on April 26th, please call Thomas Galinat at 802-793-8480 to make accommodations. The work zone will be patrolled and have strict no entry enforcement outside of any scheduled sanctioned accommodations. We ask residents to plan ahead. We may not be able to meet all accommodations.
